Geddy Lee on his hopes for the Blue Jays, and other baseball things

Via Rolling Stone, Rush’s Geddy Lee has answered a few questions related to the MLB and his beloved Toronto Blue Jays. “I’m quite fond of the gentleman who’s managing the Blue Jays right now,” Lee says of John Gibbons. “[But] I’d like to see them get a true ace for their staff. I’d like to see them get a true second basemen. And I’d like to see them get a solid center fielder.”

Lee doesn’t subscribe to the theory that the World Series was the worst ever. He says, “I thought it was great. The playoffs were really exciting and I thought the World Series was great. The games that I was able to see were really good.”

Asked what Rush song would make the perfect soundtrack to the dealings at the upcoming Winter Meetings, Lee says, “Oh God, that’s a toughie. Maybe ‘Losing It?’ I don’t know. How about ‘Beneath, Between & Behind,’ because everyone wants to know what’s really going on.”
