Former Toronto mayor Rob Ford has passed away at the age of 46.
He’d been battling a rare and aggressive form of cancer for 18 months.
The married father of two young children was diagnosed during his 2014 bid to be re-elected mayor of Toronto.
His family said Ford was “a dedicated man of the people” who “spent his life serving the citizens of Toronto.”
Ford is survived by his wife Renata, children Stephanie and Douglas, mother Diane, brothers Doug and Randy, and sister Kathy.
