Fans of the iconic band have banded together with the approval of Sunnybrook Foundation to stage pre-concert parties supporting the Gord Downie Fund for Brain Cancer Research at Sunnybrook Hospital through a fundraising event series: Courage for Gord.
Calgary fans can enjoy two of these pre-concert parties on Monday, Aug. 1 and Wednesday, Aug. 3 at Cowboys Nightclub (421 12 Avenue S.E.) beginning at 4 p.m.. These events are endorsed by the Sunnybrook Foundation and have available an exclusive t-shirt, wristbands, door prizes and a Hip themed Silent Auction with most items donated by Hip Fans themselves.
