If your dad is guitarist Rob Baker from The Tragically Hip, are you destined to become a musician?
What if pops is drummer Johnny Fay?
Like fathers, like sons.
Boris Baker and Angus Fay are two members of the Kingston, Ont.-based band Kasador: Nick Babcock (Piano/Synth/Vox), Will Hunter, Boris Baker (Bass), Angus Fay (Drums), Cameron Wyatt (Guitar/Vox)
Boris is apparently studying neuroscience at Queen’s University and Angus is studying jazz studies/performance at Humber College.
You can also hear their new song, Talk About It here.
Back when I lived in Kingston, I was one of the judges of a local battle of the bands. That’s when I first heard Bedouin Soundclash. They had a fresh, original sound that made them instant favourites and had the massive hit When The Night Feels My Song. Kasador says on its website that when the band first started out, they were looking to make something along the lines of Bedouin Soundclash, Arkells and Lumineers.
Whether they have famous fathers or not, I love Neighbourhood. Watch these kids.
