This week, Food Banks Canada released new shocking numbers for Calgary: Use of the food bank is up 17% from 2015, and up 47% from 2014.
Calgary Food Bank CEO James McAra said the new numbers sting.
“I don’t know if you want to say congratulations, we are the worst,” McAra said of the numbers fuelled by the provincial economic downturn.
