The Toronto Blue Jays open their regular season one week today: The Orioles host the Blue Jays in their home opener Mon., April 3.
Regular season starts Sunday with three games:
It’s a funny time of the year when you can watch baseball hockey on the same day — and it’s not even playoff hockey yet! (The Flames play the Ducks on Sunday in their last regular season home-game appearance.)
We went to a Jays game last summer when we were in Ontario visiting family. My son made a ‘CALGARY LOVES THE JAYS’ sign and ended up on the Jumbotron!
If heading to Toronto this spring or summer to see a game isn’t a possibility, I really, really recommend you take in an Okotoks Dawgs game this summer. The tickets are incredibly affordable, the hamburgers are amazing, and the atmosphere is awesome. We went to at least 5 or 6 games last summer and my kiddo, who was 9 years old at the time, absolutely loved it. It’s incredibly affordable entertainment and you get to see some great ball! (Tickets are $15 and go on sale April 1).
Their home opener is Friday, June 2. Check out the Dawgs schedule HERE.
Seaman Stadium in Okotoks is also hosting the inaugural Field of Dreams event with the Calgary Flames and the Stamps. Both Bo Levi Mitchell and Devone Claybrooks are scheduled to play. For more information or to buy tickets CLICK HERE. – Sarah
