The Texas a cappella quintet, Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado, Avi Kaplan, and Kevin Olusola, formed in 2011 to compete on the NBC TV show, The Sing-Off.
The group placed 3rd and became big online with their Evolution of Music video.
They’ve since covered other huge songs like Hallelujah, Jolene and many Christmas songs.
Now, they’ve released new takes on Bohemian Rhapsody and Imagine.
Whether or not you like their take on the classic songs, I love their message in Imagine: The singers each hold a changing sign that illustrates it’s their differences that make them similar: LGBTQ+, MAN, JEWISH, AMERICAN, BLACK, CHRISTIAN, LATINA and WOMAN.
“I hope some day you’ll join us and the world will live as one.”
