I think I’ve found the newest attraction for Stampede 2017 – aqua bull riding.
You get a pool or a tub at a bar (or even inside the Stampede grounds!) and go play on the bull.
Inflatabull “provides families and friends with hours of challenging wet fun.”
Calgary Stampede runs from July 7 to 16.
The city is hoping for better tourism numbers this summer.
A report to city council found that the number of visitors to Calgary dropped last year 800,000 compared to the year before.
According to the 2016 Civic Partner report, the number of visitors to Calgary dropped by 11 per cent in 2016 to 7.2 million, compared to 8 million in 2015.
The decline in visitors translates to a $100-million loss in tourism revenue; Calgary took in $1.6 billion in 2015 versus $1.7 in 2016. Read the full report here. – Sarah
