Some are legit … and then there’s this one:
Someone wants kids to stop playing road hockey.
Let’s play Devil’s Advocate: Maybe the kids refuse to move the net and are being a nuisance. Maybe. But when we lived in Ontario, one of our neighbours requested that my toddler son’s mini soccer ball never roll on her lawn. It’s not like she was winning a lawn award. And we never actually saw her step on her lawn. But she didn’t want him on her grass – and that’s her right, it’s just not very neighbourly.
Back to this Calgary complaint and the criticism that these kids could be in a park; my house is also close to a park, but my son couldn’t play hockey there unless they’re setting up the nets on top of the monkey bars.
Road hockey: What would have to be happening on your street to make you officially complain? – Sarah
