This must have been Halloween 1985 or 1986, back in the day when costumes were often homemade and you weren’t dropping BIG bucks in pop-up costumes stores.
My mom made these costumes for my brother and me. If you look closely, half of my costume is Halloween-themed material with little ghosts, ghouls and bats.
Too bad I don’t still have it. I could have worn it to a screening of Stephen King’s It this weekend. There were reports that real clowns showed up at some screenings just to scare the crapola out of moviegoers.
It brought in even more money than anyone expected with $117 million at the box office. It is the largest ever opening for a horror movie and the largest September opening of all time.
What would you give It out of 5 stars?
Check out Global News review of It: “Bill Skarsgård’s Pennywise … buck teeth and high-pitched voice take down the clown’s viciousness a few pegs. At times, he’s even annoying; that is not a good thing when he’s the central figure of the film.” Read the full Global review HERE. – Sarah
