Let’s get ready to battle!
All The Voice contestants have been chosen and have now entered the battle phase: The judges (Adam Levine, Miley Cyrus, Blake Shelton and Jennifer Hudson) pick two of their singers and pit them against one another. One singer is picked as the victor to move on in the competition while the other is eliminated (unless one of the other three judges steals the artist).
Adam Pearce and Whitney Fenimore did the Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks 1981 duet Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around.
Tom Petty passed away at the age of 66 on Oct. 2. after suffering a heart attack. Read the full story HERE.
Adam won the ‘Tom Petty’ battle but I love Whitney’s voice. She was stolen to be on Team Miley.
It wasn’t the only rock performance of the evening. Moriah Formica and Shilo Gold did The Guess Who’s American Woman.
Earlier in the season, Chloe Kohanski did Fleetwood Mac’s The Chain in order to secure a spot on the show.
One of my favourite reality TV show singing performances is from the X Factor when Simon Cowell and company discovered a bright light named Cher Lloyd. She was a sass pot who became known for her pop songs and rap bits, but she also absolutely nailed the 1991 Shakespeare Sister hit Stay. – Sarah
