The Magic of Christmas joy continues this week at Q107 as we collect gifts for everyone from newborns to seniors.
Alli just dropped off a $100 gift card to Tim Hortons so a Calgary senior can get some coffees and lunches with friends. She thought it was a nice way for an older citizen or senior couple to get out and enjoy some conversation.
We are collecting new, unwrapped (non violent) gifts at our studio. On Christmas Eve, Santa and elves stock city transit buses and deliver the gifts to families who need a little extra help this year.
We are looking for everything from diapers for newborns to sports packages and gift cards for teenagers to books, scarves and hats and mitts for adults. Check out the full wish list here.
We are broadcasting during the month of December from our street-side studio from 5 to 10 a.m. at 3320 17th Ave SW. Gifts can be donated while we’re on air or you can also bring them to Q weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
On Wednesday, Dec. 13, we’ll join Global Calgary’s The Morning of Giving. You can bring us gifts there from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. You can also donate money, which is used to buy presents that the Magic of Christmas needs to buy gifts that weren’t donated. CLICK HERE TO DONATE MONEY THROUGH THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS’ WEBSITE.
Q107 listener Karen Seeger dropped by the Q studios with books, DVDs and stuffed animals for The Magic of Christmas. Thank you, Karen!
