As most of Canada deals with injectable drug shortages, here in Alberta the situation doesn't look as bad.
Dr. James Silvius, with AHS Pharmacy Services, says Alberta isn't in a crisis situation, but adds there is a way patients, who take injectable drugs, can help.
He says investigating oral alternatives is a good step.
Silvius says the province has a good existing supply of the high demand drugs, but admits he's never seen a drug shortage of this magnitude before.
