Calgary police are investigating a second apparently random attack on a city pathway. A woman called police about 10 last night reporting she had been attacked on the path near Glenmore Landing in Southwest Calgary. Police Duty Inspector Darren Leggatt says the woman was able to fight off her attacker who fled. There are similarities to a sex assault early Sunday morning on a Southeast Calgary pathway and police are looking for any possible connections. The HAWC helicopter spotted a suspect near the boat launch area on the reservoir and that man is now in custody Leggatt says the attack reinforces the need for caution on pathways late at night
