I'm not one for goodbyes ( I always get something in my eye) but I did want to take a moment to make sure that I expressed my gratitude to you for listening and supporting the show. Also, I want to dispel any kind of notion that there was anything to my leaving at all other than what it is; an opportunity has beckoned. From the day the folks at Q came to Montreal to see if I would be interested in living in Calgary and starting a new chapter here, I have had a ball. I thought by way of expressing my gratitude for my ...

National Music Center fundraiser with CORE

I had lunch with Andrew Mosker, the CEO of the National Music Center, a month ago and he showed plans for a development that I've blogged about in this space and I think is going to transform the east village. The National Music Center is an ambitious and amazing project that when completed, will bring people form around the planet to visit.
To that end, the CORE is having a pretty cool fundraiser that will help the NMC and YOU with your shopping. After hours fun and shopping with a night closing concert...GREAT idea. Here's the link:

My good pal and former co-host, Tim Morgan, is now our program director here and I am headed to CHOM in Montreal. The 2 are NOT connected by the way..... Just new directions for both of us.
Mentioned the Robert Plant interview from the latest GQ issue this morning. It's a great read and a must if you're a Zeppelin fan. Enjoy!

I miss his voice and intelligence and contributions to the world of rock. It's the old saying...you don't know whatch'ya got 'till it's gone.
Rolling Stone magazine has noticed his absence too and has done a time line on his fade that tracks where he's been:

That said, I LOVED this one.
This is an Italian Dad with his baby boy. Watch the early love of LED ZEPPELIN that's already ingrained in this budding young classic rock fan....this is a lot of fun:
